34 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was originally formed in Chepstow and/or Swansea in August 1939 with one battery. A second battery was added in 1941 and the third in 1942 before moving overseas. The Regiment went to Egypt in October 1942 and then to Italy in December 1943. 34 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in February 1945. It was reconstituted January 1947 as 534 (Glamorgan) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA)
