29 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Grimsby, in August 1939. It was part of 2 Anti-Aircraft Division for the next 3 years covering East Anglia. The Regiment moved to North Africa in November 1942 and also served in Italy. It was placed in suspended animation in January 1946. 29 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was re-constituted as 529 Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
