149 (Sherwood Foresters) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted from 40 Searchlight Regiment in June 1943 at Holywood. The Regiment went to France in August 1944 as part of 107 Anti-Aircraft Brigade. It served with the Canadians until the end of the war. 149 (Sherwood Foresters) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in February 1946 and was re-constituted as 575 (6th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
