130 (Queen’s Edinburgh Royal Scots) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA)

130 (Queen’s Edinburgh Royal Scots) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in March 1942 from 52 Searchlight Regiment. It served in the UK for the whole of its war serving in Anti-Aircraft Command. Originally based in Scotland, it moved to the South West of England in April 1943. Later that year it moved to Kent. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in January 1947, personnel forming a new, war formed Regiment with the same number. In the April, 130 (Queen’s Edinburgh Royal Scots) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was re-designated 85 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA. The TA unit was re-constituted as 587 (Queen’s Edinburgh Royal Scots) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
