52 (Queen’s Edinburgh, Royal Scots) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA)

52 (Queens Edinburgh, Royal Scots) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 4/5 (Queen’s Edinburgh) Battalion, The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) (52 Searchlight Regiment) (TA) to the RA. The Regiment served in Scotland with 52 Anti-Aircraft Brigade until converted to LAA. It was converted to 130 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA in March 1942. It was re-constituted as 587 (Queen’s Edinburgh Royal Scots) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
