126 (Middlesex) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in February 1942 from 60 Searchlight Regiment. The Regiment went to Normandy in October 1944 with 74 Anti-Aircraft Brigade and served with them to the end of the war. 126 (Middlesex) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in February 1946 and re-constituted as 595 (9th Battalion The Middlesex Regiment) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
