112 (Durham Light Infantry) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in January 1942 from 47 Searchlight Regiment. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in January 1947 with personnel forming a new war formed unit with the same number. It was re-designated 61 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA in April 1947. The TA unit, 112 (Durham Light Infantry) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA), was reconstituted as 582 (The Durham Light Infantry) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
