47 (The Durham Light Infantry) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA)

47 (The Durham Light Infantry) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 47 (The Durham Light Infantry) Anti-Aircraft Battalion Royal Engineers (TA) to the RA. The Regiment served in 7 Anti-Aircraft Division in the North East of England until converted to Light Anti-Aircraft. 47 (The Durham Light Infantry) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was converted to 112 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA in January 1942. It was re-constituted as 582 (The Durham Light Infantry) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
