The Regiment first formed as 7 London Brigade Royal Field Artillery (TF) in February 1920. It was re-designated in 1921 as 64 (London) Brigade Royal Field Artillery (TA). Its title changed again in 1922 to 64 (7th London) Brigade Royal Field Artillery (TA). It then became 64 (7th London) Field Brigade Royal Artillery (TA) in June 1924. 64 (7th London) Field Regiment RA (TA) was re-designated from 64 Field Brigade in November 1938 as a two battery unit. A third battery was raised in April 1941. Post war 64 (7th London) Field Regiment RA (TA) was placed into suspended animation in May 1946 and then re-constituted as 264 (7th London) Field Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
