32 Field Regiment RA

32 Field Brigade (Army) RA was formed by the conversion of 4 Light Brigade RA in June 1935. The Regiment was re-designated as 32 Field Regiment RA from 32 Field Brigade in October 1938 on a two battery basis.  It went to three batteries in December 1940 and in March 1941 it returned to a two battery set up. The Regiment converted to 32 Heavy Regiment RA in September 1943. It converted back to 32 Field Regiment with three batteries in May 1945. Post war, 32 Field Regiment RA was re-designated 45 Field Regiment RA in April 1947.
