Converted from the Bedfordshire Yeomanry (TF) in August 1920. It became 10 (Bedford) (Army) Brigade Royal Field Artillery (TF). The Brigade was re-titled in 1921 as 105 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Brigade RFA (TA) at Bedford. In June 1924 it changed title again to 105 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) (Army) Field Brigade Royal Artillery (TA). 105 Field Brigade was re-designated 105 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment RA (TA) in November 1938 with two batteries. The other two batteries went to the newly formed sister regiment 148 Field Regiment RA (TA). In November 1939 105 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment RA (TA) was converted to 52 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Heavy Regiment RA (TA).
