5 Infantry Division had its own system of badges for the Royal Artillery units attached to them and was used from 1942 to 1945. It followed the system used for the Infantry of most Divisions utilising the Arm of Service strip to denote seniority. Therefore, 1 strip for the senior Regiment, 2 for the middle & 3 for the Junior Regiment.
