Formed as 5 London Brigade Royal Field Artillery (TF) in February 1920. It became 92 (5th London) Brigade RFA (TA) in 1921. The Brigade changed title again in June 1924 becoming 92 (5th London) Field Brigade RA (TA). The Regiment was re-designated 92 (5th London) Field Regiment RA (TA) from 92 Field Brigade in November 1938 on a two battery basis. A third battery was raised in January 1941. 92 (5th London) Field Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in March 1946 and reconstituted in January 1947 as 292 (5th London) Airborne Anti-Tank Regiment RA (TA).
