Super Heavy Regiments

In September 1939 there were no Super Heavy Regiments just 3 Independent Super Heavy Batteries, 1st, 2nd & 3rd. These went to France with the British Expeditionary Force and were lost during the retreat.
Two batteries had 9.2 inch Rail Guns and the third, tractor drawn 12 inch Mk IV Howitzers.

The first three Super Heavy Regiments were formed in November 1940.
