82 Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was formed in November 1940 at Saltash in Cornwall. The Regiment served in Anti-Aircraft Command for its entire war. In January 1945 the Regiment was reduced to a single battery’s strength and became a holding unit. 82 Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was disbanded in March 1945.
