39 (The Lancashire Fusiliers) Searchlight Regiment RA(TA)

39 (The Lancashire Fusiliers) Searchlight Regiment RA(TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 39 (The Lancashire Fusiliers) Anti-Aircraft Battalion Royal Engineers (TA) to the RA. The Regiment was reduced to a cadre in May 1943 and transferred to the infantry as 7th Battalion The Lancashire Fusiliers. It was re-constituted as 574 (The Lancashire Fusiliers) (Mixed) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA(TA) in January 1947.
