86 (Cornwall) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was converted from 56 (Cornwall) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in August 1944. It was initially designated B Medium Regiment but re-designated a week later as 85 Medium. The Regiment went into suspended animation in May 1946. 86 (Cornwall) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 456 (Cornwall) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
