87 Medium Regiment RA

87 Medium Regiment RA was formed from batteries from 63 and 70 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiments in August 1944. It was initially designated C Medium Regiment but re-designated a week later as 87 Medium. RHQ 87 Medium Regiment RA was disbanded in April 1945. The Batteries were reconstituted as 463 (Durham) and 470 (3rd West Lancashire) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiments RA (TA) in January 1947.
