61 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed in November 1940 in Godalming, with two batteries from 101 Light Anti-Aircraft/Anti-Tank Regiment and one newly raised. The Regiment moved to North Africa in December 1941. It served in the Middle East until disbandment in 1944. 61 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was disbanded August 1944 in the Middle East, to provide infantry reinforcements.
