57 (King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed as a duplicate of 5th Battalion KOYLI (53 LAA Regiment) (TA), in June 1939. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in January 1946 at Shirecliffe Camp, Sheffield. 57 (KOYLI) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was re-constituted as 557 (King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry) (Mixed) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
