48 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed from batteries from 17 and 19 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiments, in October 1940. The Regiment served in Air Defence Great Britain in Essex until February 1942. It then moved to Java. 48 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in March 1942 after being captured in Java.
