37 (Tyne Electrical Engineers) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Tynemouth in August 1939. The Regiment moved to Palestine in June 1942 and served in North Africa until October 1944. It was placed in suspended animation in October 1944. 37 (Tyne Electrical Engineers) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was re-constituted as 537 (Tyne Electrical Engineers) (Mixed) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
