28 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Nottingham, in August 1939. It served with Air Defence Great Britain in Nottingham and Derby. The Regiment moved to India in March 1942. It served there and in Burma (Myanmar) until the end of the war. It was placed in suspended animation in December 1945 at Malmesbury, Wiltshire. 28 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) re-constituted as 528 (Nottinghamshire) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
