150 (The Loyals) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted from 62 Searchlight Regiment in April 1943 at Downpatrick, Co Down. The Regiment served in the UK until February 1945, mostly training for D Day. It then moved to North West Europe, joining 21 Army Group and ending its war in Antwerp under 50 Anti-Aircraft Brigade. 150 (The Loyals) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was placed in suspended animation in February 1946 and was re-constituted as 597 (The Loyals) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
