115 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in January 1942 from 8th Battalion The East Yorkshire Regiment (The Duke of York’s Own). The Regiment served with 46 Infantry Division throughout going to North Africa with them. They landed in Tunisia fighting their way to Tunis. Earmarked for Sicily, instead they took part in the landings at Salerno, Italy. The Regiment fought their way up Italy to the Gothic line with a short break to rest and refit in Palestine. They were removed from the Division just before disbandment as all LAA Regiments were taken from Divisions. 115 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was disbanded in January 1945.
