107 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was converted in January 1942 from 14th Battalion The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). The Regiment moved to Egypt in April 1943. The journey was protracted. Leaving the UK on 14 December 1942, it sailed to Durban, South Africa where it stayed for 10 days. The Regiment then sailed to Bombay, India, re-embarking 2 days later for Basra, Iraq. From there it went to Suez, Egypt arriving on 26 April 1943. It was earmarked for Sicily but went to Malta instead. When the Malta defences were run down it moved to Italy where it was selected for disbandment. 107 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was disbanded in July 1944 in Italy.
