Formed in March 1900 as 46 Brigade-Division. Became 46 Brigade Royal Field Artillery in 1903 and 35 Brigade RFA in August 1913. It was re-designated as 25 Brigade RFA in November 1922 becoming 25 Field Brigade RA in June 1924. The Regiment was re-designated from 25 Field Brigade to 25 Field Regiment RA in May 1938. It was re-organised on a two battery basis by April 1940. It was reduced to a cadre in September 1942 and reformed in March 1944. Post war 25 Field Regiment RA was re-designated as 29 Field Regiment RA in April 1947.
