160 Field Regiment RA was formed in July 1941 with three batteries. The Regiment absorbed 161 Field Regiment in April 1942. It re-organised as 160 Jungle Field Regiment in October 1943 and reverted to a Field role in July 1944. 160 Field Regiment RA was re-designated 91 Field Regiment RA in April 1947.
