126 (Highland) Field Regiment RA (TA)

126 (Highland) Field Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Aberdeen in June 1939 with two batteries as a duplicate of 75 Field Regiment. A third battery was raised sometime prior to July 1941 at Nairn. In July 1941 a fourth battery was raised at Elgin but moved 6 months later to 178 Field Regiment. Post war 126 (Highland) Field Regiment RA (TA) went into suspended animation in April 1946 in NW Europe and was disbanded in January 1947.
