566 (Devon) Coast Regiment RA (TA) was formed from part of Devon Heavy Regiment RA (TA) at Plymouth with three batteries, in April 1941. It was re-designated 566 (Devon & Cornwall) Coast Regiment RA (TA) in June 1945. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in January 1946 and reconstituted as 407 (Devon) Coast Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
