564 Coast Regiment RA was formed as 25 Coast Artillery Group RA at Iceland with three batteries, in October 1940. It was re-designated 564 Coast Regiment RA in June 1941. RHQ was disbanded in September 1942 and 174 Battery joined 568 Coast Regiment RA (TA) and 175 Battery joined 553 Coast Regiment RA.
