564 Coast Regiment RA was formed as 25 Coast Artillery Group RA at Iceland with three batteries, in October 1940. It was re-designated 564 Coast Regiment RA in June 1941. RHQ was disbanded in September 1942 and 174 Battery joined 568 Coast Regiment RA(TA) and 175 Battery joined 553 Coast Regiment RA.
