549 Coast Regiment RA

549 Coast Regiment RA was formed as 11 Coast Artillery Group RA at Canterbury with seven batteries, in October 1940. It was re-designated 549 Coast Regiment RA in June 1941. RHQ was disbanded in June 1945 with 185 Battery joining 519 Coast Regiment RA (TA), 296 Battery going to suspended animation and the remainder disbanding.
