501 (Forth) Coast Regiment RA (TA)

 

501 (Forth) Coast Regiment RA (TA) was formed from a part of Forth Heavy Regiment RA (TA), in July 1940. The Regiment became part of Cromarty Fire Command in December 1944. It was placed in suspended animation with two batteries in June 1945, the remaing four batteries were disbanded. 501 (Forth) Coast Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted in January 1947 as 412 (Highland) Coast Regiment RA (TA).
