26 Anti-Tank Regiment RA was converted from 26 Field Brigade with four batteries in October 1938. It served in Malta until September 1943 when, after several changes of role, it became a Medium Regiment. 26 Anti-Tank Regiment RA was converted to 13 Mobile Coast Regiment RA in December 1940.
