24 Anti-Tank Regiment RA (TA) was formed by conversion of 24 Light Anti-Aircraft/Anti-Tank Regiment with three batteries in September 1944. It served with 7 Indian Infantry Division for its entire war. 24 Anti-Tank Regiment RA (TA) went into suspended animation in December 1946 and re-constituted as 524 (Bournemouth) Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
