7 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was formed in Malta in January 1941 to take command of all Anti-Aircraft units on the island. Later a Heavy Anti-Aircraft Brigade was formed with the 7th becoming a Light Anti-Aircraft/Searchlight Brigade. 7 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was re-formed in the UK in 1947 as part of the revised Anti-Aircraft Command.
