23 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was formed in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in July 1942. It took over responsibility for the Colombo area from the 1 Royal Marine AA Brigade who now covered the eastern side of Ceylon. The Marines were later replaced by 24 AA Brigade. 23 Anti-Aircraft Brigade was disbanded sometime before August 1945.
