7 Survey Regiment RA was originally formed as a cadre in 5 Survey Regiment in December 1939. In May 1940 the cadre moved to 6 Survey Regiment and expanded to a full Regiment in January 1941 with three batteries. It re-organised with two batteries in November 1943. The Regiment was disbanded in November 1945.
