4 (Durham) Survey Company RA (TA) formed in June 1937 was expanded in November 1938 to form 4 Survey Regiment RA (TA). The Regiment went into suspended animation in April 1946. 4 (Durham) Survey Regiment RA (TA) was re-constituted as 377 (Durham) Observation Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
