87 Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was formed in January 1941 with four batteries, at Burnley. The Regiment spent 14 months in the 4 Anti-Aircraft Division of Anti-Aircraft Command before converting to Light Anti-Aircraft. 87 Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was converted in March 1942 to 128 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment.
