65 (Essex Regiment) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 2/6th Battalion The Essex Regiment (65 Searchlight Regiment) (TA) to the RA. The Regiment was converted to 65 Garrison Regiment in November 1944 and to 607 Infantry Regiment RA in February 1945. It was re-constituted as 600 (The Essex Regiment) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
