58 (Middlesex) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) formed in August 1940 by the transfer of 58 (Middlesex) Anti-Aircraft Battalion Royal Engineers (TA) to the RA. The Regiment served in Anti-Aircraft Command until converted to Infantry. 58 (Middlesex) Searchlight Regiment RA (TA) was converted in November 1944 to 58 Garrison Regiment RA and then to 611 Infantry Regiment RA in February 1945. It was re-constituted as 593 (Middlesex) (Mixed) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
