4 Searchlight Regiment Royal Malta Artillery was formed with one RA Battery, one RMA Battery and an RE Company in November 1940. The RE Company was disbanded on handover to the RA. In January 1944, RHQ 4 Searchlight Regiment Royal Malta Artillery moved from Tal Balal to St Andrews and was disbanded in the May.
