3 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment Royal Malta Artillery was formed in March 1941 from three Heavy Anti-Aircraft Batteries. In June 1945 RHQ moved from G’Mangia to Handak and was disbanded 2 months later. It reformed in October 1952 at St Elmo as 3 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment Royal Malta Artillery (T).
