68 (4th West Lancashire) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was formed as a duplicate of 59 Medium Regiment with two batteries in 1939. In September 1942 it was reduced to a cadre due to casualties. It was re-formed in February 1943 from the cadre and RHQ 169 Field Regiment at Tatten Hall, Cheshire. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in February 1946. 68 (4th West Lancashire) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 368 (4th West Lancashire) Medium Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
