56 (Highland) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was re-designated from 56 Medium Brigade with two batteries in November 1938. The Regiment went to suspended animation in March 1946 at Boldney Airfield, Thetford. 56 (Highland) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 356 (Highland) Medium Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
