53 (London) Medium Regiment RA (TA) was re-designated from 53 Medium Brigade with two batteries in November 1938. It went to France with the BEF in 1939. It was then in the UK until returning to France in June 1944. The Regiment went to suspended animation in March 1946. 53 (London) Medium Regiment RA (TA)was reconstituted as 353 (London) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
