5 Medium Brigade was re-designated 5 Medium Regiment RA in May 1938. It was re-organised with two batteries in February 1939. The Regiment was with the BEF in France in 1939. It went to North Africa in October 1942 and to Italy the following year. In September 1946 5 Medium Regiment RA went into suspended animation.
