26 Medium Regiment RA was converted from 26 Defence Regiment RA in September 1943. The two Batteries were converted from the Defence Regiment Batteries. It served in North Africa, Palestine and Italy. In March 1946, 26 Medium Regiment RA was converted to 26 Field Regiment RA.
