80 (Berkshire) Anti-Aircraft Brigade RA (TA) was formed in November 1938 by expansion of 264 (Berkshire) Field Battery RA (TA). It was re-designated as 80 (Berkshire) Anti-Aircraft Regiment in January 1939. In June 1940 it became 80 (Berkshire) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA). It served in the UK before moving to Algeria in November 1942. Service in Sciliy and Italy followed. The Regiment was placed in suspended animation in December 1944. 80 (Berkshire) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was reconstituted as 480 (Berkshire) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947.
